I would like to say to the SKEPTICS that it's time to wake up & let the U.S. Postal Service do their job of delivering the mail like we do everyday. We do have peoplewho test the mails for us in order to improve the service that we deliver everyday, to every address & thensome. I, as a still active postal worker was happy to read that THE PRIORITY MAIL TEST which was run by a television station was a successful one. We beat UPS & that was important to me as a postal worker. I have not forgotten what past president John Kelly of UPS tried to do against the U.S.P.S.. This is a true slap in the face for what the UPS wants to do against the Postal Service. With UPS in third place, the Postal Service should not rest It's based on this test but every test that involves the Postal Service.
I remember similar results from Consumer reports. The USPS was the best combination of speed and price with the best results in undamaged packages. Until you guys at UPS figure out a way to cut deals with the general public like you do for businesses, you'll always be last place!!
These morons are comparing apples and oranges shipping freaking banannas. UPS Ground would be below the cost of priority mail, especially to a commercial location, and make it in 3 days or less between most of those cities. Once again a postal lie campaign is out there comparing a half-assed "air" service which is not guaranteed, non-insured, and non-trackable to a guaranteed 3 day service. If that package had not arrived in 3days by UPS or FedEx there would be a refund. If the PMs did not get there, you are SOL. The USPS wants to dumb down the shipping public to thinking it is the cheapest. It is. The service is as cheap as it could be. Is that why most businesses use UPS for their shipping needs? I think so.
Just can't face facts can ya BS.Radio and TV stations do these tests every Christmas season.It's OBVIOUS they have NO connection to USPS in ANY way and we kick your butt EVERY year!!!!!WE are much CHEAPER AND FASTER than the little brown tonka trucks.Oh and in case you miss it(like you always do)business uses little ole ups because the USPS cannot BY LAW offer volume discounts as ups is allowed to.Thats the ONLY reason.You think way too much of your average, overpriced company with worthless, never pay insurance.UPS-THIRD place AGAIN, HA,HA,HA!!!!!!!
I guess those shipping GENIUSES at the TV STATION dont know that our ground service is GUARANTEED and could have gotten to most of those cities within 2-3 days and would have beaten the pants off of the priority mail prices to boot. Commercial deliveries cost less with UPS and take a maximum of 5 business days anywhere within the lower 48 states.
It really doesn't matter how fast or how cheap UPS is: they are going to leave it on your doorstep to be stolen anyway. USPS has a better infrastructure and a better system for delivering the mail. UPS is for people who run "home-based businesses" and are at home all day waiting for UPS.

if I have to sign for a package via UPS and I'm not home...I gotta find the UPS facility or wait till the next day for delivery if I'm home when they come. If I miss the USPS i can just get in my car and drive to my LOCAL PO and sign for my package. !!!!! YEAH!!!! GO USPS!!!
