What Terri Dickenson's decision that she did to the decent charities was way out of line. She feels that as boss, she will do things her way, and not worry about the consequences. Ms. Dickenson has turned many people against her & I am certain that when she needs them, they will remember what she did & will return the favor like she deserves. this is what the people of Seattle should do to Ms. Dickenson, when she needs help or aid in doing anything that she wants.
Charity is nice, but the USPS doesnt need to divert its PAID workers to the cause. Who is paying their salary, and what money is covering the cost of processing that stuff? The USPS is better off auctioning that stuff off. Its all about covering costs, people. Look for your handouts elsewhere, or go buy this stuff at the auction. The free ride is over.
After reading about this, maybe the public will know what the employees have known about dealing with some of these people in management. The Peter Principle is alive and well in the Postal Service. Common sense doesn't matter. I'm the boss, so just do it!
We used to give all the chewing gum and pens and Dr Seuss books to local Christian cupboards too( about 12 years ago) THEN, all the freaks , fags , friends-of-anal-sex, pagans-united, mutual-cunt- lickers etc..... said " Hey!.... where OUR fair share "....or," or ,"HOw come a gov agfencyt can 'ignore' us but 'illegally' support a 'religious' group?"......and so basically we just said: "FINE-----IT ALL GOES IN THE TRASH!!"
This decision appears to have been made by the person who was given the authority and responsibility to make the decision. Whether those who work for the individual, those who benefitted by the CHARITY ,or the media like it or not is really immaterial. Opinions are like navels- everyone has one, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I need to be exposed to them all. Let the decision maker make the decision.

I remember reading someplace that there are royalty issues with the books, cds, and videos. Not sure about the diapers etc.
