I am happy to read that the CFS clerks were finally raised to level 5 on the pay scale. This I understand was the work of the late union president Moe Biller. It is said that Moe Biller was not alive to read of this decision. I am certain that every clerk who is now in the level 5 pay scale, will now have the opportunity to apply for the better positions when the time comes. Good Luck to the CFS Clerks
Congratulations Bill Burrus. You have again demonstrated that you are not up to the challenge of enforcing our contract or winning ANY fight worht merit against your postal counterparts. Where is the backpay for all of the time doing level 5 work at level 4 pay? Did you give it away JUST LIKE you gave it away in the Level4 to Level 5 mail Processor upgrade even after we won it in the Fargo Award? Yes you did. Crow about another false victory and don't forget to come up for air when Potter takes it hand off the back of your head.
Let's see - CFS is already somewaht automated and PARS will continue to reduce the mail that gets to a CFS and the technology continues to improve. Now the higher wages that make the labor cost variable higher simply makes it easier to justify advanced equipment that will elminate the CFS clerk. Yep, good strategy APWU. As for the uninformed that thinks that they have been doing level 5 work all along and deserve backpay - your confusing a job evaluation upgrade with a negotiated upgrade that has nothing at all to do with the nature of the work. Nor have you considered the changes in the work that have taken place over the past 20 years.
I'm happy for these people but how about the window clerks who handle thousands of dollars every day plus registers that are in the thousands and up.Why not give them a step increase to level 6.There in harms way with the public everyday along with the carriers who take it out. There both getting robbed just about every day.

Can anyone give me the number to EAP? I'm desperate, I'm suffering from post-election trauma.
