Probably because the "competition" (aka BS99) couldn't get a job with the USPS as a younger man, had to settle for a ups job and since that point has had a lifelong inferiority complex.

Attack those labor costs and the USPS will be able to gently slide to the bottom instead of hit hard. The competition is eating your lunch!
