How typical, the union officials ruin a member’s life and then testify for management. Half of the problems with workplace are caused by the union stewards looking out only for themselves.
I know what you mean. The NALC pays carriers to be stewards. As soon as they get enough quarters to qualify for social security they quit the union and go into management. This is why the NALC is so worthless when it comes to things like working conditions. When you talk to a NALC official about working conditions they look at you as if you are speaking a foreign language. Then they change the subject and tell you to put up with it because you are well paid. Looks like this woman is not so simple as a lot of the carriers.
This fact I believe & know to be true, as the same or similiar incident happened between UNION PRESIDENT & A LINE SUPERVISOR. The President also supported a BLACK FEMALE SCAB who always got her way thanks to the ASSHOLES at NAACP. thesepeople supported her while other workers were hurt, including her own kind. This was allowed in the Trenton, N.J. Post Office by supervisor Terry Higham, who refused to help the Jewish Carrier as he wrote her up for HARASSMENT. Bitchin Higham would accept the word of THE SCAB over & made problems for the Jewish Carrier, while the Union President stood by & did nothing. The Vice president who was also in the same office also did nothing. Our solutiopn was as follows, and we continue to do it today, which is NO DONATIONS TO COLCPE, NO DONATIONS TO MDA, THE UNION CHARITY, & REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING THAT THE NATIONAL UNION ASKS, INCLUDING THE NATIONAL BUSINESS AGENT. This is what the NALC members should do, when the union refuses to support their members. Before I forget, the president of branch #380 was Joseph J. Mooney who would shout on the workroom floor, and I quote,"OH! YES, WE CANNOT FORGET THE MURDERING RABBI" The now retired NBA, James Dolan chose to accept the word of president Mooney. The Postal Service has done nothing about the ANTI-SEMITISM that was allowed on the workroom floor. That is why I accept the carriers word that SHE WAS HARASSED BY HER CARRIER PEERS.
