Yes! weather does affect the mail service since most of the mail goes by air instead of by train. Our government helps the whole world, except the corporations that can do the job at home.
The PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD & THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD are still in bankruptcy and have not been helped by our country. The european nations have kept their railroads running & they are giving better service that our country. That is why when we have bad weather, the airlines are always having weather related problems, which can & will delay the mail

Article says "They should receive their mail today". I wonder if this includes packages sent "Standard Mail". I ordered checks and they were sent 12/7. Still haven't arrived.

9:04 AM,

I do believe you HIT the nail right on the head~

This country is SO ingnorant to learn from other Nations!
They just keep stepping onto the other foot! But were this is profit @ times, there's funds it seems!
Even though it doesn't cover all modes of transportation.
Of course America today, if you don't have it "yesterday" it doesn't count!
Slow down and chill a little.
LIFE IS BUT A ONE TIME DEAL, Enjoy the scerenity of it!

What'd the Postal Service expect? Trying to point the finger where it belongs now, makes them look like whiny buck-passers!....If they take the final mile they'll get the final blame!
Meanwhile, the private outsource operations keep all the gravy and laugh all the way to the bank performing any way they damn well please!
