None of these rags ever get the true story right about UPS vs FedEx vs USPS. The USPS has made the consumer stupid and believing that it is the best for some reason. The big corporations know the real deal, fortunately.
Corp. know no such thing boxboy.Ups only gets the business because they can offer huge discounts to big companies that the USPS cannot by law give! Every year when these tests are run you get your butt kicked.There is the comparison you should look at but you are afraid. USPS smokes you losers every test, every year.End of story.
That's right, these people know nothing about shipping. Most people don't. So the USPS ALWAYS comes out ahead in these tests. What difference does it make what the customers know? All they need to know, is that UPS is way overpriced.
Finally, the truth is coming out that the Postal Service does do a good job in delivering the parcels. Somehow, everyone feels thar the service is no good but as a long time employee, I have seen the demise of several wonderful old postal jobs. I am referring to the jobs of COLLECTION OF MAILS, PARCEL POST, & SPECIAL DELIVERY, and other jobs that do not come to mind. Now the service is trying to use CUSTOMER CONNECT to stay alive, & try to maintain decent mail service to the public. Let's see what happens.
The tests are run by independant sources like radio and tv stations.Hardly morons.Your revenue only speaks because of the discounts you can give that we can't.When independantly compared, ups always loses. The USPS garners so much attention from ups because they FEAR us, plain and simple.Probably why you spend so much time here.
No fear, I just like to give you a shot of truth. Giving USPS discounts? Have you guys checked your costs lately? THERES NO ROOM TO DISCOUNT! See how well your standard mail discounts are working for you? You need to RAISE prices!
A shot of truth??? HA HA HA!!!! And WHOSE truth would that be BS? Your distorted version?No thanks. There would be plenty of room to discount volume customers just as ups does.Thats where the steady income is and if we were ALLOWED we would clean up.
I'll say one thing... which has nothing to do with what you're talking about.
UPS is the most difficult company I've had in arranging a job with them. The site will say "Accepting Applications," but I've waited weeks for some appointments to be up with the HR Manager and nothing's happened. I contacted FedEx and had a job offer within the week.
I also went to USPS, who treated my rudely most of the application process. It may because I'm in a Republican state and I look nothing of the sort; I tend to stray from government-ran companies such as USPS. They're often discriminating.
By the way, they should include DHL in these tests... my favorite parcel carrier above them all.
