THe sky is falling, The sky is falling. The Chicken Little Union is at it a again.

The union thugs as well as the Democrats just don't get
it. They still think that union members are just a bunch
of dummies that cannnot earn their wages without the help of the unions and the socialits Democrats. When
the labor unions were first formed, membership of workers belonging to the unions reached approximately
32 perecent. The participation of the american workers
as union members today is approximately 9-10 percent.
Is the lack of participation of workers in the union
movement means anything to the union management? Hello,
is anyone in the union leadership listeneing? As a union
member for nearly 20 years, and as a Conservative registered Republican, I got fed up with the union's
lies and using my hard earned money to fund corrupt
democrats such as John Kerry. It's time the union
leadership stops backing the democrats and close the
ATM machines that takes away millions of dollars from
the union's treasury. The american people including
myself, reject the highly corrupted union leadreship and
the equally corrupted democrats. Sign me on with the
RED WAVE.

11:34 AM.

Hey why don't you go work for Wal Mart and see how the Other NON-Union people Live !
See what your buying power is?

Dudes like you reap what the Union's have fought for all these years, and don't pay a Lick into membership.
But Sure Show up on Payday don't you !
I hated leaches in Vietnam, and I hate them in Society!

The union is not responsible for my earnings. I am. I
do the work. It seems to me that your are the Leach.
Can you tell me the last time the Union (APWU) negotiated a contract? It has been over 20 years since
they negotiated a contract. The last few contracts has
gone into Arbitration. Why pay the union when they in
turn do absolutely nothing to earn their pay. All they
do is follow the losers better known as Democrats.
Wake up! You do the work. Not the union! Don't be a leach. Use the money that goes to the union for other
needs of your family. The union donates funds to the
Democrats for causes that are anti-american, anti-family,anti-military, anti-God, anti-boy scouts and
anti-anything that is good for America. Are you seeing
RED yet?

Anonymous said...

No, I am not a conservative hick, so I don't see "RED" yet.

Rural Carriers = Walmart workers

The APWU is posturing without any clout whatsoever. They prefer name-calling to serious negotiating, and are just foaming over legitimate mailer discounts. That's how you run a business, you left-wing morons. Didn't you notice that we came up with a surplus this year? Think that was by accident? Can Wal Mart run red ink every year and stay in business? This is the real world, not some day from long ago when unions had some real purpose.

The best thing we can do is write our congressman & advise them that we need Postal Reform & that these rules must be made so that the service will survive. This has to be done again & again until the Postal Reform is passed. We should BOMBARD ALLOUR CONGRESS PEOPLE with letters & letters until they get the message that Reform must become law ASAP. As we know, Georgie Walkie will not allow Postal Reform to pass as it will cost him money, yes money that he needs for the war in Iraq. I have written my Congressman & Senators, as I was sent a notice from the union to send off the prepared letter that the union sent me. I wrote twice & will write again & again until we pass POSTAL REFORM

No one discusses the hypocrisy of the USPS spending BILLIONS of dollars on automation to process the mail faster and put it in DPS or break flats down to carrier routes, then give discounts to mailers for "pre-sorting" or "barcoding" mail. What then happens to this "pre-sorted" and "barcoded" mail? It is processed through the system like just like all the other mail, presorted, barcoded or not. Therefore, there is NO justification for these discounts as they do not bypass the processing function. The mail is still run through the DBCS's and OCR's a couple of times to get it into walk sequence. This cannot be done in a different process and be in DPS as they want it, so why the discounts? Simply phony discounts that act as corporate welfare, giving these mailers money they don't deserve and depleting revenue from the Postal Service. Do you clowns think UPS or Fed-Ex are going to give you discounts for ANYTHING? Are they giving discounts now? Keep working to cripple the postal service and you not only do a disservice to the american people, but you mailers will be biting the hand that literlly feeds you parasites.

The USPS, is, was and will continue to be the only "postal" provider designed to give universal service to the american people without a profit for itself. Do you think for one minute ANY private company would ever consider such a proposition?

Many of us who work for the postal service have seemed to have forgot how our pay and benefits were before the last time the postal service had collective bargaining for pay and benefits. Yes, the union who fought for our wages and benefits that we all are happy today to have. I think it is a bunch of BS to hear people be critical of the ones who represent our interests at the bargaining table. Yes the union is not perfect, but the fact is that without them your wages and benefits would be far less that what you have today.

It is clear that unions are weakening in this country, and when they do weaken it hurts all of us working stiffs in the end. Yes and the same people who think that the GOP Republicans have their best interests in mind that will find out a big surprise from GW Bush in his final term for all of us Postal Workers.. I say you get what you voted for..

Anonymous said...

GW is going to take care of you postal workers and the union. Just you wait and see. Then us Mexicans will do the work for half of what they have to pay you gringos.

Anonymous said...

What has Senator Kerry done since the election with all his great plans, has he brought any of those plans to the floor of the senate?

Anonymous said...

Actually our large customers get significant discounts on all of our services ranging from 10 - 59% off of our published (daily pickup) rates. You didnt think they were all paying full price, did you? Dont confuse UPS retail rates with the rates that a major company gets. Even small volume customers can get generous discounts. What do you get off of USPS rates without going through a lot of nonsense with Bulk permits? JACK.

home delivery without $1.75 surcharge is what you get !!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Only hope for USPS is to go to 5 day Delivery. Still deliver express on Saturday and Sunday. Once this is done this is harsh but layoff 200,000 Carriers, Clerks, Mgrs and Mailhandlers. That would bring work force down to 500,000 employees. Less deadwood and much more streamlined. The cost of a stamp would not have to be raised for 15 to 20 years...Wake up Washington...People do not need mail delivery on Saturday and business's are closed...

EXTRA for Sat delivery, EXTRA fuel surcharge, EXTRA for home delivery......what a great deal!Gouge, gouge, gouge!LOL!

Anonymous said...

Its not gouging when you are covering your cost and trying to keep your doors open. Isnt the USPS supposed to be operating like a business? What do you think it is, a charity? A shipping welfare office?

Anonymous said...

Well then, we go back to the point you miss all the time genius. We are a SERVICE not a for profit gouge company. We are not allowed to compete "for profit" or we would kick ups's little butt and you know it.I'm sure that's why you are always here trying to prop up that long standing inferiority complex.

I urge everyone to get your heads out of this situation. There is no perfect solution to anything in this world. The only perfect solution is Jesus. Accept Jesus and serve him, not this world. Where the Spirit of the Lord is..there is freedom. Freedom reigns in this place, Halleujah! If you want to accept Christ and forget about the worries and strife of this world that there are no real solution to, just tell Him! Pray to Jesus telling him that you give up the rat race of this world and you accept Him as your deliverer from any past sins and your Savior from this world. Not only will you have peace in your heart, Jesus said in the Bible that he is preparing a place for all of his people in His Fathers house, Heaven. All it takes is a simple prayer, and the Holy Spirit will come to live within you directing you as long as you BELIEVE. Go ahead..nobody's looking. Once you have done this...get your hands on a New King James version Bible and start with the New Testament Gospels(good news)of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Learn about Jesus...and the Christian walk. We all need something genuine. There's gotta be more to life than chasing down every temporary high. Good luck to you and God Bless! :)

The USPS would die a quick death if they were private, since most of your transportation is contracted out. The big 3 of us could team up and slap you down if we had to. Starting up an airline is more than a .37 cent stamp will pay for. Better remember your place, mailman. The USPS barely makes enough to keep the lights on with all that labor expense. We set our own prices for transporting the packages, and thats something the USPS will never do. You buy seats on OUR airplanes! Vertical integration, look it up you expert economist, you.

Most of you don't get the the picture, the postal service
just like most other jobs in this country has all ready
started reducing it's work force. You can call yourself
republican, democrat, independent,or whatever this goverment will hit us like a atomic bomb.Yes our wages will be reduced, our health benifits cut just like all the other jobs in this country. We all are fools to think
that we could ride this train forever.I never hear anyone talk about one of our main problems, the employees
that fake like they are hurt, and lay on the backs of the workers that give a honest day of work for a honest day pay.Why are we afraid to talk about these people. We all know who they are.

yo 5:36 post
It seems to me that everyone that makes a post is an EXPERT in controlling a business, including you. Why don't you start up a company and pay all the wages, benifits and perks... You are just full of hot air and an idiot to boot!! BLAH BLAH BLAH> YOU guys have all the answers YOU

Anonymous said...

Tell me what does the union do for me for benefits, seems that my annual, sick leave come from being a civil service employee, done by congress eons ago, they do negociate how much I pay for health benefits, plus wages no other benefits that I can see the union negociating.

Anonymous said...

Postal reform, maybe if clerks worked eight hours a day that would be enough reform to make this outfit profitable.

Anonymous said...

Saturday delivery, it's called universal service, something the PO wants as well as the unions, probably the unions so they won't lose another 8 hours of pay for their membership or the PO would start getting rid of PTF'S in a hurry, you figure it out.

The only craft with any positive growth potential is maintenance and mailhandlers. Clerks are on the decline and just trying to hold onto the jobs they have. I want them all gone, as they are a whiny and lazy bunch from my dealings with them.

Anonymous said...

Yo 5:36....Look up propaganda.Thats all you know, very light on facts, very heavy on useless, meaningless ups propaganda, mixed with a lot of hot air.

Anonymous said...

Who buys space on ups planes?

Anonymous said...

All of you are just blowing a lot of hot air.Our postal
service just like the rest of the country is going down the drain.I wouldnot be surprised if the stamps we purchase are soon made in China, just like everything else. Our flags are being made in china. So all of you are just wasting time, this job will change just like the rest of the country.Union or no union they will not be able to stop it.

Anonymous said...

Been with the Post Office 38 years now, have received 5 weeks annual for 23 years now have the same health insurance plan, just what benefits are you talking about that the union negociates for me other than pay?

Anonymous said...

GW is gonna deform the postal sevice............weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Anonymous said...

What surprises me is the comment by a Maintenance employee stating the clerks are whiny and lazy. Well the Maint craft are so small they have to be part of the APWU to even get a Union and the ones I see in automation all night stand around and talk to each other or sit on dollies and certainly exhibit extreme laziness then when you need them to fix a machine they can't ----- after being sent to Norman OK for all the free training in the world and they still are worthless. And of course the MailHandlers are picking up work as Mgmt keeps giving them what use to be clerk work because they can work them more hours in a day/week and they are paid less and never get double time........since the majority of the USPS employees are clerks it only stands to reason Mgmt would be after us for all the job losses certainly not any Mgmt jobs will ever really go by the wayside. Funny to Mr Maint craft person the APWU (clerk union) got the ET's to level 11 - and you want to badmouth your fellow members - shame on you - and I know who you are and soon we all will, look around next time you are screwing off in automation we will all know this comment came from you Keith C.
