Just left the local PO lobby after mailing two parcels. Lines for the window were out the door and they hadn't opened the windows up yet. Only problem with using the Automated Postal Center (APC) is they couldn't empty the parcel bin fast enough! That will be a real moneymaker this year!
Where the heck are you people (that have no mail) from? We've got parcels stacked to the ceiling, double S99 mail, double DPS. Just Christmas as usual.
I agree with above Post. Where are u people from that hve no mail or lines today. I am a PM in a level 22 in New York and even with our APC up and running our lines were out the door. That was with 4 Retail Clerks on the Window all day. Parcels last week were over 30,000 Pcs. If you have no mail or lines now its time to shut down your Office.
Ok, we'll check that. In the meantime make sure you send those thousand or two BURNED parcels from your dumpster...oops, processing center (I use that term loosely)to those happy customers in Colorado!Great job ups, when's the next marshmallow roast?
Yes, the Postal Service did get additional this year, as my route was heavier this year. I did get some overtime, that in years past. Also, as I have a heavy parcel business, that keeps me busy all year. this would have made it worse & I would be fighting with the ASSHOLE MANAGERS who after following me many times during the year, would be on my back. Even writing them up would not work. All I do is deliver the mail & return when I am finished, which they do not like, but make certain that I did deliver the mail,Which I always do. This year, I gave the parcels away, & I still get some overtime, but at a reduced amount due to health problems. YES, the mail did get heavy for this year & I believe that the situation that is taking place in our country, & we are uniting & standing together.
"....All I do is deliver the mail & return when I am finished, which they do not like, but make certain that I did deliver the mail,Which I always do...." Its the same story all across the country, will there ever be relief?

For UPS.
You could have fooled me. This is the slowest Christmas I've seen in 26 years in the po. Lobby is empty. Not much more mail than normal.
Ups for their parcels yes, did I miss where they where delivering the mail now too?

Lines are long, parcels are plentiful.. The Postal Service is alive and well.. Nuff said
Check your numbers in January. Bring a hanky. It will be sad when the next Ted Kazinski puts a bomb in one of your dumpsters er... parcel bins.
