I love watching the USPS self-destruct!

We love it when the USPS STILL makes a profit and it makes YOU squirm. LOL!

Hey 12:22 dweeb. Without the Postal Service, where will you get your welfare or disability check? Since 1775 and still going as long as the feds quit taking the profits to pay off their spending, we will be fine.

Self destruct? Hardly. Even a clueless imbecile like you should know that USPS is not only covering its own costs and making a small profit but is also contributing billions to reduce other governmental costs. The issue is whether to allow USPS to use those bilions of extra dollars itself or keep using them to pay pension obligations related to military service.

Baloney. Direct mailers are living the life of Riley by screwing the USPS. Bad make-up. Poor addressing. And belching on their discounts. Get outta here!

Hey 12:22, This "death spiral....cripple, cripple..WHAAAAH" crap that you parasites sqwall every time service costs are tweaked is now WAY BEYOND cliche'! Why don't you do like you ALWAYS THREATEN and go somewhere else? I thought you said the internet was to be our death nell after we 'drove' you to it! Why don't you just tell Americans to erect crap-flyer receptacles and then hire a bunch of illegal Mexicans to load them with your unwanted shit?..... The federal express act doesn't prohibit it ! You say you want us to be more efficient, THEN you pander to the slug management that sucks 40% of our revenue into handout-pay oblivion! Your empty threats and overwhelming hypocrisy are unbelievable!!!

Hey DMers, they've got some nice Chinese-labor-camp made CRUTCHES on sale at Wal-Mart,...you know, the kind made by 5 year old children ,who, when they become ill, are loaded into chain-link barges , taken five miles offshore and shoved into the sea! Just your type of product! Be smart, and pick them up in advance ,...before this "crippling" occurs!

I happen to agree with Congressman Davis on his remark about the rate hike crippling the mailers. I am referring to the business community that does the mailing for these firms, & their rates will climb as will the cost to the consumer. The trouble with the administration is that their priorities are with the BIG BUSINESS OUTFITS who want all the money to screw the small outfits & leave them NOTHING TO SURVIVE WITH.
This is why the Postal Reform measures must pass the Congress as they will help all postal patrons survive the problems that the Georgie Walkie bush administration
are putting on the Postal Service, & this should be done ASAP. The USPS should not have to pay the funds for the military, who come to work at the post office, as they are in decent health. I happen to see these workers everyday, as I work alongside them, & at times, they do a better job than I do.
WE NEED POSTAL REFORM NOW, OR THIS NATION CAN PUT THE BLAME ON THE CONGRESS AND THE ADMINISTRATION, FOR THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FAILURE TO FIX THE SERVICE.

Labor costs are always cited as the reason for rate increases but inflation and the rising cost of energy are not. We are adversely affected everytime gasoline or diesel fuel rises. At the time of the last rate increase fuel cost were somewhere between 75 and 90 cents per gallon. Now those same prices are between 1.70 and 2.00 dollars a gallon. This reflects better than a 100% increase. A business cannot expect to survive if it cannot pass on the price of doing business.
