Back to normal? "Attention Carriers, you can resume your 60 minute breaks at Krispy Kreme." "Management wants to appologize for the snow storm and asks for your forgiveness. The 96's are already filled out, approved and in your case drawers. That is all."

All carriers in the Northeast should be lauded for their heroic efforts during the recent, enormous snowfall. Management again demonstrated skill in its planning and personnel maneuvers designed to ensure timely delivery for our customers in these hard-hit areas.

Again, the world-class training, that managers, postmasters and supervisors receive, was on full display as the mail went through and customer satisfaction was undoubtedly bolstered. My congratulations to the leadership.

I wonder how many managers went out to see how bad the roads were on 1/24/05, and did they use a LLV vehicle.
In the station that I work in, we were given chains to put on these LLVs, so that we would be able to deliver the mail. After they were put on, our speed was slowed, as we were not allowed to travel faster than 30 miles per hour. A few streets were bad as usual, and this goes on every winter. At least when I advised manage-
ment of the situation, they were satisified with what I
said over the phone. I got back late, but the manager did not give me a hard time. I also got home safely.

So I finally got my six month old to sleep... and my three year old twins were just about fall alseep when the doorbell starting ringing like MAD! RING! RING! RING! RING! Within two seconds I had three screaming children. Who was rining the bell? My letter carrier who was pissed off that I didn't shovel my walk. My mail can wait... my sanity can't. Letter carrier's safety is very important - please just skip the houses that haven't cleared their walks, don't harrass the stay-at-home moms.
