Well, let me be the first to say the workshare "subsidy", as Mr. Burass calls it, it nobody's fault but the APWU. They promote and protect a culture of militant unproductiveness, and then wonder why the Postal Service looks to the private sector to hold down costs! The APWU certainly has no intention of holding down labor costs. If the clerk craft corporately will not step up and do the job in a cost-effective manner, then the Postal Service has no other choice than to look elsewhere for some faint glimmer of productivity. Keep it up, Billy, and fiddle as your empire burns.

Hey Potter! Why don't you sign your name when you post these things?

and close those plants and get rid of those non-productive employees.

Listen to all you cry babies! The unions have done crap for you except take your hard earned money. I challenge each of you to find out how much you will receive after 30 years in the postal service minus health care, insurance, taxes and survivor benifits for your spouse! (It will suprise the hell out of you) Then you will see what your really worth. Glad I'm out of here this month!
Good luck with your harrassment of them and their harrassment of you. BYE!

HEY, 951 WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN THESE LAST 25 YEARS. WHEN I CAME TO THE POSTAL SERVICE, THE SERVICE WAS STILL HERE. I AM VERY PRO UNION BECAUSE THE MANAGERS MADE ME THIS WAY. I WOULD DO ANYTHING I COULD FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONTINUE TO DO SO. MANAGEMENT WOULD RATHER GET IN MY FACE, PULL ME OUT OF A WINDOW THAT THE LINE IS BACKED UP TO THROW STANDARD MAIL AND LEAVE 1 CLERK TO DO THE LINE OF 25 PEOPLE. MANAGEMENT HAS CUT BACK SO FAR IN CLERKS TO DO THE JOB THAT MAIL IS BACKING UP, AND IF THE PUBLIC TOOK A UNANNOUNCED TOUR OF THEIR POST OFFICES, THEY BE SHOCKED AT WHAT THEY WOULD SEE. THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN YEARS AGO. EVERYTHING NOW IS NOT SERVICE ORIENTED IT IS BUDGET ORIENTED. FOR FACT WE ARE SO SHORT THAT IF ONE PERSON CALLS OFF SICK, THE OFFICE FALLS APART AND EVERYTHING GETS DELAYED. LET START CUTTING BACK IN UPPER MANAGEMENT AND MIDDLE MANAGEMENT WHERE I HAVE SEEN DUPLICATION AFTER DUPLICATION OF JOBS. STOP SENDING IN F2 AND F4 TEAMS TO TELL US THAT WE DON'T NEED MORE PEOPLE, WHEN THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH TO WORK WHAT WE HAVE AND MOST WORK 10 HOURS A DAY. TAKE THOSE F2 AND F4 TEAMS AND DISBAND THEM, AND GET THEM TO DO SOME REAL WORK. I ASKED ONE OF THEM TO COME AND TAKE OVER OUR POST OFFICE, THAT THEY HAD CUT INTO SO BADLY, AND SHE SAID, HECK NO I COULDN'T RUN THIS OFFICE WITH THE CUTBACKS THAT WE DID. SHE SAID THEY GET TOLD HOW MANY CLERKS AND CARRIERS FOR THE OFFICE AND MAKE THE FIGURES FIT. IF I HAD A LOT OF TIME LEFT IN THE POSTAL SERVICE I'D GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. HOPEFULLY I CAN RETIRE WITH WHAT I WAS ORIGINALLY PROMISED.

Here we go again! Mr. William Burrus is nothing less
than a socialits and runs the dying union (APWU) like
a socialits nation. With a union that is losing over
2,000 members a month, they are desperate because they
see the writting on the wall. APWU is nothing more than
an ATM machine for the democrats. The union's association with their policy of all democrat all the time strategy with exclusive support of LOSERS! They
obstruct every attempt at reforms, unless it comes from
the liberal democrats and they failed to accept that
over 40 percent of their members voted for George Bush
on the last election. They closely associate with Liberals such as Te Kennedy, Howard Dean, John Kerry,
Bill and Hillary Clinton and then they whine when they
find themselves on the losing end of thefood chain. Why
pay dues to the worthless union when all they do is
sit in their big offices in Washington and enjoy the
perks without doing anything that can promote and
improve our jobs. Clerks are being exterminated faster
than you can say APWU. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!Get rid of
all these jerks now.Send them home like we are doing
with democrats.

What are you talking about my man? If it wasn't for
the union I would never make the kind of money I am
making. Iwas a high school drop out and the union
defends and gives me rights I never dreamed I could
of gotten any other place. If It wasn't for the union
I would not know how to vote. I vote for who ever
the union tells me to vote for. We have to protect
our friends the democrats they give us the freedom twork in the P.O. and will defend our rights every time.
The union is the best deal going and I support them
every step of the way. Where we all be without the
union protecting us and getting us all those pay
raises and all those benefits. United we stand!

The Postal Service would not survive if they continued to operate as they have been for all these years. The offering of discounts is a good idea, as the corporations can save money themselves, by working to-
gether & this will keep the service around for some time. The best thing John Potter can do is to listen to all sides & then decide, which is the best way to go.
William Burris is trying to hold on to his job, while his members are taking the early outs, if they are able to leave when the time comes. Any rule that can help
keep the Postal Service in existance, should be allowed. I do hope that both houses of Congress approve the Postal Reform Bills passed by both houses in 2004.

Never were truer words uttered! Proof that unions have been reduced to representing people who do not have the skill set necessary to compete with those of us in the competitive business fields.

How about finishing high school, learning an actual skill, and then EARNING your pay?
