Not a great idea in the US cause the guns might fall out of the belt when the carriers are sleeping in their LLV's! Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme won't want 6-12 armed carriers hogging the counters every day. Who would want a armed carrier who can't case mail right taking pot shots at dogs, cats, kids wearing fur hats? A few drinks for lunch then its "hunt'n time!".......but on the up side, it will be easier to go "postal".
let me apologize for the fact letter carriers have two ten minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch on the street as well, we have the right to go to establishments on our routes. maybe you want us to get in fetal positions and hide in our vehicles

If carriers are goofing off this much it's because one of the many supervisors is not doing his job. Give the supervisor a letter of warning.
