as president BUSH would say this is a small price to pay for freedom..we need the escrow mony from the postal service to help fund iraqi freedom..also the postal service must pay for the military retirees we cant in goverment i need 3 trillion to reform social security..by the way how much is in csrs..i just love the voucher system..thank you for four more years and remember those illegal aliens from mexico are only interested in work americans wont do good day
we'll see who's grabbing ankles, sucker. See how well you can survive delivering Granny's birthday cards. Only idiots can't tell where their bread is buttered...
As a free riding mailer, I'm already making plans for making money after the postal service ceases to be a viable service. I'll be okay because there will always be a need for the kinds of services we provide in one form or another - we've been very resilient in changing over the years.
You, on the other hand, will just be flat pushed out of your livelihood. And you think anybody is going to give a red rat's... about you? After the way you've treated us all this time?
Mailers....don't allow a vocal few to skew your viewpoint. Most postal workers have nothing against mailers at all.We don't care what type of letter we are delivering as long as it's keepin us busy.Peace!
Even though Rep. McHugh re-introduced his Postal Reform Bill, doesn't mean that the Congress will pass it again. Let's hope that the Congress does move quickly on this issue & goes against the president. He does not want to return anything to the Postal Service. Georgie Walkie prefers to give it to his friends as a tax break, and that it something to consider. Everybody got what was left & that was nothing by nothing, so let's stop the complainin & let us all go write our Congress people & then we put it in the Blue box as i was given during a Special Service.

There is just too much stuff on the plate for any Postal Reform this year. We have the Iraq war with no foreseeable end in sight, social security reform that needs to get passed, North Korea and thier paranoia of us invading them, Iran's nuke program and the tsunami disaster relief aid. All of the aformentioned stuff will require a lot of tax dollars to accomplish. I just don't see postal reform as being very important to this administration right now.
Wake up mailers! Ups,Dhl,FedEx have recently raised their rates from 2.6 to 2.9%. The postal service with its large discounts to you allow you to steal candy from the baby. Yes, and you want more. Let's make postal employees negotiate their health benefits at contract talks and let's try to keep rates from rising by doing so. Wake up! All prices go up! Have you seen how much the price of gasoline has gone up. Hello the postal service uses gasoline to deliver the mail! Hello! Wake up! If we go under, you will go under faster you can blink. Go ahead and try using our competition. Yes, that's right, you can't afford it!!!!
AS A CLERK OF 21 YEARS WITH THE POSTAL SERVICE, I HAVE SEEN MAIL VOLUME GO UP AND DROP. AT PRESENT FIRST CLASS MAIL IS MODERATE AND STANDARD IS UP. GREAT. I DON'T NECESSAIRLY AGREE THAT THE MAILERS SHOULD GET SUCH GREAT DISCOUNTS THAT THE FIRST CLASS'ERS PAY MORE. EVERYONE GETS A PIECE OF THE PIE. WE AT THE POST OFFICE CONTINUE TO GO FORWARD, THE MAILERS MOVE THEIR STANDARD MAIL TO US TO THE CONUSMER, UPS, FEDEX AND THE REST ALL GET A PIECE OF THE PIE. WE NEED TO STOP FIGHTING ONE ANOTHER AND JOIN TOGETHER, AS THERE IS ENOUGH PIE FOR ALL. I WANT TO RETIRE WITH THE GOOD BENIFITS THAT I HAVE WORKED ALONG TIME TO GET AS I AM SURE YOU ALL DO.
