No problem. I do not believe that the 109th Congress
will be too concerned with Postal Service reforms. The
Postal Service is such a ridiculous mess that no one
can fix it with simple minded reforms. You want to fix
the Postal Service? First, get rid of 99 percent of the
worthless employees that has been told by the worthless
union that they do not have to produce in order to
receive their pay, just be a member of the union and
all is taken care of. Second, fired all the incompetent
management and hired professionals, perhaps, from those
employees that have shown that they have the inteligence
and the know-how to get the mail moving fast at a the
cheapest rate possible. Postal management says that if
Congress does not act on some kind of reforms, then the
postal rates may have to sustained a double-digit increase. How in the world are we going to survive with
this kind of mentality? A business that is experiencing
losing customers at a high rate due to poor service,
cannot increase prices. In fact, they should provide
better and faster service at a cheaper rate. Congress
cannot stop the demise of the Postal Service. Thanks
to the unions and the inept management.

Buddy, as long as I get my entitlement, I don't care if you get yours. It's dog eat dog and the feds guarantee my retirement entitlement in less than 1 year. The only way I lose has nothing to do with the overall incompetence of the USPS, rather the solvency of the United States. If the US goes bankrupt, I lose and everybody loses. Otherwise, I'm kept whether you are a sorry worker or not. Cheerio!

Can't wait for them to start closing those non-productive, very expensive, OWCP claims plants, then maybe the rest of us can get more than 1.3% raises.

Hey 11:59 BITE ME!Not all us Post Office employees are lazy. There are quite alot of them. They need to quit wasting so much money on stupid ideas and cut down the upper management. Why is there so many supervisors at a station or in the offices? Because they don't have nothing else for them to do.They also think of new positions for supervisors instead of putting them back into there old job. They also need to get rid of the people that can retire out of there or close to it because there just sitting there taking up space. The people that can retire do nothing and take all day to do one little chore that may take only 30 minutes at the most.Get rid of also the management that stir up s**t with employees and customers.I know of a supervisor who started a fight with a customer and got his job back and his name Charlie Sorensen but if an employee who did not start a fight with a customer lost her job and is suing to get her job back and is going to bring that supervisor name into the lawsuit. That's double standard.

As a postal employee of 16 years I believe postal reform is a must not only for the future of the postal service but for the survival of the mailing industry. I do believe that postal mailers should stop being so greedy and trying to get postal employees health benefits up for negotiations at contract talks. I know you don't want to lose your large discount rates that you currently receive for sorting your own mail. You give up all those discounts and pay regular price then you might be taken a little more serious about postal employees negotiating their health care at contract talks.

Them mailers don't care about the workers. Typical Republicans, they are worried about their bonus and their bottom line... PROFIT< PROFIT< PROFIT!!!!

i love rreading some of the previous comments !!! yes , ther are some lazy workers .however , they are outnunbered by the ones that take pride in their work . yes , some of the upper management does not belong where they are at .they can't perform their respective duties, so they get shuffled to some place where their judgements will not cause too much grief.
i am in my 36th year as a carrier . i have seen alot of changes in those past years ; some good some not . bottom line ; you are collecting a nice salary every 2 weeks . try to find a job that pays the money you guys make , and all you need is a high school diploma !!! a bit of respect on both sides of the fence would go a long way. try it some time !! it works in our office!!!
