'This year, postal legislative reform will be among the key things on Congress' and the Administration's agenda. Some time before mid-year, the Postal Service will be filing a request before the Postal Rate Commission for new, higher rates. Washington decision-makers are begging to hear from those who 'actually pay postage' to help them understand how these developments can affect their businesses and the people they employ.

Yes, it's time to get involved! It's time to take our heads out of the sand and to realize that delivery services have been heavily impacted by fuel prices over the last few years. It's time to realize that postal service antics and organization are no different than the methodologies of the Huns of the ancient world. It's time to realize the unbelievable liabilities of having one out of five postal employees being a do-nothing, problem-creating slug 'manager' defies all logic! It's time to tell the DMers to pay their fair share and that if people don't want their crap they shouldn't have to recieve it! It's time to allow people to erect junk mail receptacles exclusively restricted to the garbage most people don't want.
Yes,El Potato, IT'S TIME TO GET INVOLVED!!
Gene is a Conservative spin Meister! He wants the corporations that use the USPS to call in and complain. If you read his articles consistantly, you will see he thought privatization was a great idea there for awhile. Probably still does.
Bush and his allies are out to destroy unions altogether, and don`t think they won`t try to at least weaken us, if not outright take away our rights to organize. The new Indiana Governor told state workers they could no longer be unionized, and this was one of Bush`s inner circle gang. The path ahead is clear, and with the election result, we are fighting uphill now!
Washington decision makers have never "begged" for anything!
Right on.........they've just TAKEN it.
Hey 939, the union destroyed themselves. When the union
were first formed, only 32 percent of the Americans
workers participated as members. Fast forward to today
and you find that only 9 percent of the American workers
are union members. At first the union were able to
accomplish some good things for the American workers,
but then, they were taken over by the Mafia like thugs
and has become a tool for the Democrats and have gone
socialits and do not care for the welfare of their
members. The union are destroying themselves by obstructing and being agaisnt anything that is good
for the workers and good for America. At the present
time the majority of the union members are government
workers and are protected by certain Federal laws that
results in lazy and non-productive workers that are
unable to compete with the private sector. The only
way we are going to change anything is to ensure that
the union bosses and the democrats are kept from holding
office. The end is near Brother!!!
Great more right wing rhetoric posted here. You repeat the same propaganda that unions can`t compete with private sector. Lets be specific and use an example. Do REALLY believe that the private sector would let u mail a letter for just 37 cents and give universal coverage? That is the great right wing myth, that the private sector can do it better and cheaper. The reality is quite different. Lets use another example, Social Security. The cost for the government to run/maintain social security as a program is between 2%-4%, whereas the fees for private accounts is estimated at 14% to 24% to pay these "private companies" the privelage of maintaining YOUR MONEY. Wake up!!!!!!!!!!

Great! How much effort does it take to manage a whole
bunch of IOUs which is what you got in the Social Security Fund? The government of Chile changed their
Social Security to the private sector and now their
people will become millionaires when they retired and
start collecting their Social Security. Also the city
of Galveston, Texas, was allowed to take the same steps
and these good folks will also have a big bundle to
collect when they retire. You Democrats, turned
socialits just simply do not work out any longer. Why
do you think that they are losing elections after
elections. You need to wake up and smell the red states.
You poor misguided, looney, socialist, better known
as a liberal democrat-union supported slob, you finally
got it correctly! The "Right Wing" is right. The left
wing is wrong! Aleluya! God Bless the United States of
America!
What do you think "Free" political Mailings cost the Post Office in labor, time, fuel and possible overtime which the Government has "Refused" on coughing up their fair share to cover these Cost???
Here's another Drag on the Mail System, that NO ONE wants to address this issue!
How long do you think anyone can absorb free????
That's like they advertise "Free Shipping" @ various web sites.
Ha... NOTHING IS FREE IN THIS CORPORATE WORLD PEOPLE!!!
That's why millions are spent on lobbyist!
That's why fast talking advertisers come on after the ads, so you CANNOT understand the fine terms, Unless your a lawyer.
And secondly, it's how each sidr percieves what they read.
Gene, I hope someday the Postal Service gets incorporated. From that day on your group of subsidised garbage mailers will have to pay the real rate of postage. No more corporate welfare for you from the government. Postal Corp. will be watching their bottom line for their stockholders not handing out welfare mail discounts to you and your cronies.
There you go again, red-staters and "conservatives." You guys have to lie to yourselves to swallow the bullshit W and Co. have been pouring down our gullets. The fact is Chile is having to spend MORE government dollars bailing out their struggling, privatized Social Security system, as is the UK. The grammar-challenged statement about Chileans retiring as millionaires is yet another out-and-out lie, just like WMD's, "uniter not a divider," etc. To be a Republican nowadays you must be, by definition, a hateful, xenophobic moron.
