This happens every time, election day rolls around. depending on the way the primaries or the office for which the election is being held, this time of year can be very hard on the carriers who deliver the mail. I am also a carrier who has never seen so much political mail inthe years that I have been carrying mail for the postal service. the amount we are getting at times is rediculous that we at times must cut Bulk Business Mail in order to deliver the political mail which is a bulk rate paid, but treated as First Class Mail. We do get a break for about three weeks, then we start getting the holiday mail, and depending on the route that the carrier has, the volume can be different on a residential route than on a business route. I do a business area, and this route which has residential deliveries, does get mail but the volume is not as heavy as what a true residential route will get this time of year. This is the reason that I like the business routeover a residential route.
