God forbid we should follow the rules in the DMM. Handout seekers will no doubt cry until they pick through all our garbage. Are any of these "waste welfare" recipients willing to pay the wages of the workers assigned to this work that has nothing to do with the mission of delivering the mail? They better come in and root through the dumpsters themselves if they want freebies. NOTHING IS FREE!
Hope they put this witch on the next broom and fly her out before Halloween. She shouldn't be a manager. I bet it has something to do with the rehabs who process the donations. She wants to get rid of them so she can get a feather in her cap! Looks like she screwed up, big time!
Back in the Army, we called those injured, feeble types "broke dicks" and they always got the easy jobs and no doubt soaked up lots of pay and benifits while I and the others did more work for the same or less money.
I commend her if that is her goal. All these lame workers are just dragging us down.
I see that Tacoma P&D got a Witch just in time for Halloween. She must be rich, with extra Postal Revenue to come up with $36,000 per year in land fill fees. About the DMM, it is violated by management on a daily basis anyway, so what is the point. Maybe she can conjure up a spell to get rid of the Rehab Workers.
When the clerks who check the waste mail, find the things that do not belong in the landfill, separate them, & I am certain that they are sent to be processed for their use. What is happening in Tacoma, could be done anywhere, but the stupidity of the BITCH of TACOMA wants to do things her way. One of them is to get rid of the LIGHT DUTY workers, who were injured on the job. They were put on that assignment by the medical officer who makes the final decision. Unless the TACOMA BITCH realizes that what she is doing is wrong, she is liable to be sued for HARASSMENT, and no one can blame them if they are forced to go that route. That is what the TACOMA BITCH NEEDS to set her straight. FROM lUMP'S LUMP
Who will decide who gets what and how much? There inlies the problem. One cannot favor another, even if it is trash. There are reasons these rules exists. She is proper in her plight to maintain the integrity of the mails. Shame on all of you for putting yourselves in front of the company that places food on your table. The lame and lazy will always have rubberbands to sort.
In protest of this action to discontinue the donations of perfectly good books, audio and video discs and other un-claimed materials to charitable organizations and Especially those items that will no longer reach our US Armed Forces who I believe were also recipients of this program, I am going to send ALL of my Christmas parcels this year by United Parcel Service, and I dont care if it cost me more to do that ! Anyone else care to follow suit ?
I am one of the limited duty employees that recycles ubbm items back into needy hands. The ASM spells out the guidelines to properly do this. While not in that facility, I do not believe it takes any additional time to retrieve these items. I must look at all the undeliverable bulk business mail ( UBBM ) anyway to make sure no 1st or 2nd class mail gets tossed, or ancillary endorsed mail that mailers pay for. Yes we do care. I can not believe that there would be name calling against us that have given to the point of needing these assignments as apposed to sitting at home getting disability. I feel blessed that I can care for others while I am being cared for. Please dont take that away.
We have a witch in our office too. New England must be full of them. Does management train them on brooms. Making me stressed and can not understand WHy the PO is going under. Too many witches riding on brooms and not able to manage anyone. Come here my pretty, sounds to good to be true. Not at the PO.

I am a rehab also. God help us. Injured on the job just makes us an insult to the hard working postal clerks. I was one of them before being injured. It is a stressful situation and something needs to change for all of us. Management can't stand us and the healthy clerks either. Lord help all, Postal Rehabs.

We welcome your business. I doubt you will go back to USPS service.
