Now, assault a postal worker & you will go to jail. All I can say that the time has come to put the patron bshind bars, when they do the crime. This is the best news that I can read about what the carrier did in attempting to deliver the mail. I also make the effort, but when the car truly blocks the mailbox, that person gets the horn & if they come out< I advise them to tell the vehicle owner, that in the future, no mail will be delivered if the box is blocked in the future. Most of my patrons will work with me, but when I get a snotty answer from the vehicle owner, I make certain that I have a copy of the licensr plate & if that vehicle is blocking the box the next time, I go past the box & write the plate number on the mail. The next time they park the vehicle correctly, or wait for me to pull up & relieve me of the mail. I, have many years in the postal service but the assault that was done was way out of line.
