An update on the missing absentee ballots in Broward County, from the Jurist weblog at the University of Pittsburgh Law School... and click here to read the USPS press release denying any "backlog of absentee ballots in Postal Service facilities".

OK, so there are missing ballots. Who gives a rat's a$$ about how many more phone lines are needed. Who cares about how many people voted early or not. The article is supposed to be about the missing ballots. Talk about THEM!!!!!!!!!!! and who dunnit.
I am certain that these missing ballots are in the mail, but there is the possibility that they were sent to a different location, in error. I do not believe that every human being is perfect, but I do believe that we do our best to get the mail to it's final destination. As a carrier, who is a human being, and not a machine as the MISMANAGERS of the Postal Service wants us to be, I put in a good days work for the pay that I earn. I do believe that the ballots will be found by the inspection service if they were lost in the mail stream. The important thing to rememberis, the people who work for the Postal Service are decent working people who also have families & want to give their children a good education at the same time. The postal workers work in an enviroment that is so hostile, that we could have another crisis at any time, due to the STUPIDITY OF THE BOSSES, starting with headquarters & working it's way down the ladder to the local post office & the present day managers.
morons, every one of you. blame management for everything that goes wrong. well guess what morons, the bosses did not misdeliver them, the bosses did not missort them and the bosses did not hide them in their house or car trunk,,,the craft moves the mail idiots

Where are they?
I will bet money they were never mailed. I have faith in our clerks and carriers. I do not believe we lost them. MARK MY WORDS!
BWAHAHAHAHA! Faith. I think they were lost just in normal operation of the USPS.

Yep, I sure hope they're not sitting on a loading dock like the Oscar ballots were one year. That would really make us look bad.
Florida could screw up anything. It would be pretty hard to misplace 58,000 ballots. There must still be a BUSH running that state.
