Overpriced, worthless insurance. Should be a good cash cow. If the USPS is so good with not damaging packages, why is the insurance so high? In the real world the premiums go down when you are a good boy.
UPS pays, but the USPS has poisoned the public to pack poorly in diaper boxes, so they wind up not meeting standard packaging guidelines, and thus claims do not get paid. Plus, fraud is a reality. You got to make sure they are serious about their claim. The USPS has the advantage of threatening mail fraud charges and federal prisons for insurance scams. Still USPS insurance is the biggest moneymaking scam they ever came up with.
