I think that the NALC & the Postal Service are on the right track at this time. This is a good beginning for both parties, as every carrier wants a better system for the count & inspection. The old POD & the new USPS
continued with the old system, which at times was grossly unfair. The IDIOT managers never saw it that way. I remember one inspection which was split & lost that grevience due to management lying to the grevience people. As I said, this is the beginning & let's hope that the carrier craft will support what President Young
is doing for this union. President Young will need all the support this union can give him in dealing with the Postal Service.

It is about time the union had a say. This will allow less confrontation on the workroom floor.

Here's a novel idea! Make every carrier work 8 hours a day!

Mail carriers are lazy by nature. Almost as if they were specifically bred to do their jobs. The unions have recognized the genetic flaws of these people, and this is why so many suckers join the NALC. Suckers you ask? Yes, because Young is leading his members right into the serpants lair. He is in management's pocket. You ever hear Young talk? He is no Sombrotto. I have seen them speak numerous times throughout the years. You just wait until Young actually negotiates a contract on his own with management. We will all be worse off for it. 'But it will be a step in the right direction working with management.' I hope the members vote this management puppet out of office next round.

Anothor "Butt F***" for everyone, No budget to do what was agreed upon and continued friction between everyone. Glad I'm getting out.

Even in the 6th grade they follow some sort of criteria in their science projects. You have constants, you have variables, and you always have controls. Maybe if you had that little guy from the Six Flags commercials do all of the routes in the country, we would have a standard (control) and carriers would be expected to adhere, within a certain +/- percentage, to his times. Or, just have management and the unions sit down and screw all of this up, as they have continually in the past, and hope like hell the Dems get into power and fiscal responsibility is again swept under the rug.

Reading the anonymous writing of 12:32 a.m., I wish to say to that person, GET LOST. I as a carrier have seen Bill Young in action, & believe that he is doing a terrific job for all the letter carriers in the postal service. I have seen him go on the floor & disagree with Vince Sombrotto on several issues when he was the VP of this union. I do believe that Bill Young will do a good job as president of the NALC as his mentor was Vincent R. Sombrotto. Every carrier has nothing to fear from Bill Young due to the fact that he will fight for all the carriers & see that they are treated honestly, & fairly. All carriers know this & they have nothing to fear, but fear itself.
