What these postal crooks who atrtempt to take funds that are not for them forget that the public will always report it to the postal managers who will contact the inspection service. When they are caught, jail always await these jerks who never realize that
the inspection service will usually get the person or persons responsible for the thefts of U.S. Mail. Once everyone realizes what will happen, then everyone working for the service will understand what will happen when they are caught.

Oh,when will they ever learn?

A long time Mailhandler where I work was caught stealing a $50 bill from an envelope. He had been an employee for over 20 years. They suspected him and planted the $50 and watched him. Sure enough, he put the money in his pocket and was immediately arrested on the spot in front of all his co-workers. HOWEVER, instead of prosecuting him, they allowed him to go ahead and retire, thus keeping all of his benefits. What were the consequences of his actions? Well, none for him except for embarassment and an early retirement. But for his co-workers, a lesson that stealing the mail doesn't pay. A lot of postal workers probably get away with their crimes and never get caught, but 99% do eventually get caught. MOST mail is stolen by people not associated with the Postal Service. And a lot of mail is stolen from those curbside mail boxes that cannot be locked and stupid people put their outgoing mail in them and put the red flag up. The red flag not only alerts the mail carrier that there is outgoing mail in the box, it also alerts thieves that drive around looking for those red flags.
ALWAYS DROP YOUR MAIL IN A **POSTAL MAIL BOX** and if possible, get a PO Box to receive your mail instead of unsecured boxes. Oh, and NEVER EVER mail cash or use see through envelopes for anything of value. Use UPS if in doubt, but they have their problems too.

The Postal Service IG and Inspection Service should watch many of those crooks in the Purchasing Service Centers--especially the Asians. Chicago Purchasing Office is a very fertile area for Asian crooks. Computer equipment develop legs and walk from that office. They really should require an accountabilty of the Lap Tops and disposal of HP Printers and other computer equipment purchased for that office. A lot of it will probably be found in "China Town" in Chicago, or already in China or on a slow boat to China. Of course, we know the Asians have "diplomatic immunity" and an Asian in Headquarters who protects them when it comes to their thefts!

Theft isn't only committed among carriers and clerks within the USPS, but more than is publicized, by Managers who have protection in Headquarters.

THAT was a very racist comment, and being of asian descent I am highly offended. If you had used "black" in that comment instead of "asian", people would have been all over this blog tearing it up - but persecution and racism agaisnt asians is allowed to continue. I cannot believe that in todays society we allow such ignorance and biggotry to continue and prosper - but only against certain groups. The black community is protected while it is socially acceptable to persecute and riddicule asians, hispanics, and other ethnic groups. IGNORANCE knows no bounds. I'm also shocked that the owner of this blog did not remove that last comment for reasons of rascism.
