Yes, the postal worker does do better on their health benefits than the other federal employees, due to the fact that the cost is mainly written into our contract.
Now the federal employees know how we felt when they came on our backs when we applied to congress for a raise. What the other federal workers have to do is form a union that will go to work for them & secure for them a decent pay package as we postal workers did back in 1970. Also, I want to add that these workers choose a health plan that will put them first. Unfortunately,
I remember a disagreement that happened with the NALC
HEALTH PLAN & another union brother. This carrier was forced to pay $1,000.00 dollars out of his pocket. This was because the surgeon refused to discharge his son as
he ran a temperature. When I hears what happened, I left the NALC HEALTH PLAN, and I am with another plan, that has given my family, TRULY DECENT CARE, BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. So, all federal & postal workers, please be careful when you decide what health plan is good for you and your family. REMEMBER, CHOOSE WISELY.
