That's because the USPS is made up of hard-working, middle-class men and women.
Bush and Cheney don't represent people like that - although they sure fooled a bunch of the dimmer bulbs out there. There sole reason for being is to enrich their corporate cronies, who bought and paid for the presidency.
But the rrrevolution will soon be under way...
Support our troops and bring them home; when a Republican goes for a drink of water, slam the toilet seat down.
I love how these "conservatives" bash big government at every turn.
Fact of the matter is, government has grown bigger and faster under both Bush administrations than it did during the Clinton years. Look it up.
Bush is working to line his buddies pockets, and that's it. What's really funny is the person who posted above actually believes he is in the "elite" that Bush is shilling for. It'll be a long fall from that high horse once he realizes he got screwed, too, and everything from a gallon of gas to a loaf of bread has doubled in price while his income has remained stagnant because our economy has been crippled by Bush's GOVERNMENT SPENDING.
There will be plenty of money in the Postal Budget ater the mass layoffs begin in November with the new contract or no contract at all. Bush will see to that and will steal what money is left in the Postal Budget to pay for his invasion of Iran.
Just remember what goes around comes around, before the Presidential election Burras and Young were bashing President Bush instead of going up to him and saying something to the effect we have issues to talk to you about and we can back you if you were to help us instead the unions chose to due the bashing. Hey if somebody was bashing on me I sure wouldn't help anybody out. Just wait until Uncle Sam says they want their 70 billion from unfunded retiree health benefits and OWCP claims that the PO is indebt too. So who's to blame for this fiasco, will Congress back the PO I think not.
Typical. Resort to the usual Bush-Bashing instead of looking at the entire budget. Oh, the poor working man at the Post Office gets hit again, Yeah Yeah, blah blah. The Post Office will still be stuck paying your salary 5 years from while it will just be another President to bash.
Good bye Post Office all your complaining in these columns about having to work, well when your out of your job and have to look for a new one remember you'll have to work.
The reason Bush-bashing is becoming "usual" is because he is the worst president since Nixon. Anyway, it's his corrupt little buddy Cheney who actually runs things - the most powerful VP in the history of the United States and the least visible.
If a Democratic administration pulled that shit, the Red-staters and conspiracy theorist would be yelling at the top of Rush Limbaugh's lungs (you know, the admitted dope addict).
So don't expect us to stop bashing Bush and Co. until they have gone back to the corporations they are servile to.
How can you bash a president who has been put in office by God? Who cares about the trillions of national debt, or the thousands of Americans killed and wounded in Iraq. I'm just so thankful gays can't get married ... besides the rapture is right around the corner!
Great post, 11:46! The funny part is, many of the far-right-wingers are so deluded they will probably think you are serious. They better hope judgment day isn't at hand. With their disregard for human life and civil rights, it'll get a lot hotter for them - and it won't be because of "el nino" either.
Still waiting for the moderate Repubs to wake up and realize they have been screwed by a lying, semi-literate stooge.

What a stunner. Bush's plans include very little consideration for the USPS. Boy, you could have knocked me over with a feather on that one.

"White House Budget Lacks Many USPS Funding Requests"
Of course it does. Their plan? Gut the USPS and sell it off to the highest bidder. Or, barring that, just gut it. USPS=Big Government=Bad.

Sheesh, how stupid can you get?

What a better time than now to start closing those ultra expensive non-productive plants than now, along with those employees who supposed work there.
11:15, I would argue against you if you could make a coherent statement.
