"The Postal Service did not have a tracking system before 2003"

What a great organization. Primitive as ever.

They were busy tracking the carriers. Gotta micro-manage those carriers.

Hey 8:13 and 1:46 if things are so bad with the Postal Service maybe you would be better off at McDonald's or Burger King. Wal Mart wouldn't hire either of you because your attitudes are rotten!

Hey 8:13, yeah primitive as ever because they waste money on morons like you instead of spending it were they need to like "tracking" you dipstick

That's right, if you know the truth about the Postal Service it means your attitude is "rotten."

8:13 is probably Bs 99, the ups loser.

Children, children, settle down please. Any entity that spends as much money as the USPS has with the airlines (for decades) and does not track performance deserves the label "primitive."

The airlines are still suffering the effects of 9/11 and have laid off literally tens of thousands of people in the last 3 1/2 years, but that doesn't exempt them from their contractual obligations. They should have their feet held to the fire on this one.

That's it. Now calm down and cut back on the coffee or the Sugar Smacks or whatever is causing y'all to behave like ridiculous children.

It's about time that the airlines started to stand up to the usps. Northwest refused the usps 8 months ago, delta and united will soon follow american and us air. The routing that the usps asigned them require double handling, the direct shipment routes have been given to Fedex, and other non-union start up. With the airlines pulling back usps has now begun using motor brokers at up to 3 dollars a mile, the independant owner operator who will actually move the mail only recieving 1.20 a mile of that 3 dollars. I wonder where and to whom the money goes to.
where is the USPS Inspector General?

The airlines stand up? It's the USPS that's dumping the airlines for delayed shipments, not the other way around!

Glad to see you didn't respond with any facts. Effective end of march you can kiss delta goodby. talks are under way in an attempt to keep delta flying direct mail only. Who is going to fly your mail? not Fedex on the weekend unless your are going to pay a premium. Transfer mail required up to 4 scans. not cost effective at the rate the usps pays, thats why northwest refused to sign on 8 months ago currently they are doing pretty good. United, americam west and midwest did not signed on as principle contract, but signed under delta contract. oh by the way, why is the usps currently examing all amc/amf lease agreements nationwide in an attempt to close sites. Why is dhl taking up to 2 weeks to transfer 1st/priority mail across the county. I would appricate some answers if you have any. Senior management has run to washington because their ODIS scores are on the line/and Their bonuses! How about giving us some of your postal knowledge if you are a postal worker and not a benefactor.

Glad to see you again are not responding to the facts of the article.Where in the article does it say airlines are dumping the usps?
If you want to go on your own chest thumping tangent then please post your own article in the postal forum and we will comment on it there.
We await your golden enlightenment.

It's simple, why didn't the usps open up their transportation books. Can you deny the facts i put forth on NW DL UA. How about the PO closing AMC's and the subcontracting to 'Brokers'. It appears that you don't work in the PO but you are an outside
'benefactor'. Again where is the USPS Inspector General Office?

Is the new philly air mail center going to close, or sold off?

"where's the USPS inspector general?"
--probably out shopping for powered blinds for their offices, or buying party supplies for their 'employee-bonding' sessions at some resort...
