From the APWU News page: "The Postal Service has notified the APWU that postal workers will observe a Day of Mourning on Jan. 2, in honor of former President Gerald R. Ford, who passed away on Dec. 26."

The official schedule of the State Funeral for President Ford is posted at the web site of the Joint Force Headquarters, National Capital Region. The Postal Service has not announced official plans for operations, but they will likely be similar to those used after the death of President Reagan, which have been posted on this site.
